Ru Deyuan, the ancestor of Rushi, lived in Jiangxi province in the early year of Janyan in the southern Song dynasty (1127), following Zhao Song dynasty and settling in Jiangxi province. In the first year of Yanyou (1314), Ru Shangzhi led his family to Lili. Ru Shangzhi was straightforward and plain, broad-minded, eagered to be justice, often solved the problems for villagers.
