Zoumatang Tower of Mao Mansion in Lili Ancient Town is a building of the Ming Dynasty. It is reported that Mao Daheng (about 1495-1544) firstly built the front four rows, lobby and rear hall of the House of Mao Family. The first row of flat rooms were used as the foyer; the second row of balconies were used as the study; the third row is the main hall, Dunhou Hall, which is the place to receive visitors and discuss official business. Mao Daheng drew up three brick-carving gatehouses, among which, the first is “Quyuchengda” and the second is “Zhonghouchuanjia”. Neither of them was embellished. The third is “Gangjingroushi” engraved with twisted flowers and grass. On the left and right sides of the gatehouse, there are reliefs of farming and studying characters. The fourth row of rooms were used as bedrooms.
