The former residence of Li Family is commonly known as “The Li Hall”. Later, because of Suixingtangji incident, the Li Family were uneasy. During the period of Emperor Tongzhi’s reign, the descendants of Li Family changed its name into “Yi'an Hall”. In the late Qing Dynasty, Pingtan was well received by the people. At its peak, there were more than ten storytelling stages on the three-li long street. Yi'an Hall” was also designated as the “Yi'an Storytelling Stage” till its closure in 1984. In the minds of people in Lili, “Yi'an Storytelling Stage” is equal to The Li Hall.
