Liu Wuji

Liu Wuji (1907-2002), with pen name Xiaoxia and Shengji, is Liu Yazi’s son. He is a Chinese American professor. In his early years, he studied in Lili No. 4 Higher Primary School. He was intelligent and fond of study. He was called “Five Tigers Generals in No. 4 High School” together with Kuai Shiquan, Fu Bolun, Ru Renyu and Ru Renzhu. He graduated from Tsinghua University in 1927 and then went to the United States to study. He received a Doctorate in English Literature from Yale University and went to Europe for further study in 1931.
