Qiu’s family in Lili has two lanes in east and west, which is
also known as the feeding Lane. The two Lanes get through the two squares that
has three rooms and four courtyards. There are two halls: Defen Hall and
Jingcheng Hall. The halls were built with thick stone and wood and were donated
with many rockery design and bonsai, which is typical Ming Dynasty style. It
was rebuilt by Qiu Yulin in the Ming Dynasty during the Qianlong period on the
basis of Yongle’s house in Ming Dynasty.
