Qiu Mansion

During the period of Emperor Qianlong’s reign, Official Qiu Yulin rebuilt a house on the foundation of his old house. According to the original area, he could build a seven-bay house. However, due to his low official position, he could only build a three-bay house. Qiu Yulin was smart and built the facade into two three-bay houses with a door room between wall in the middle. He also carefully renovated Wufeng Garden left by ancestors which was exquisite and elegant and showed the elegance and beauty of the gardens in the regions south of the Yangtze River. However, at present, Wufeng Garden no longer exists.
