Shou’en Hall is the former site of Nanshe Communications Office. It was also built by Zhou Yuanli, Minister of Works during the period of Emperor Qianlong’s reign in the Qing Dynasty. Three large characters “Shou En Tang” on the horizontal inscribed board hung in the hall were written by Emperor Qianlong himself. Liu Yazi lived in Shou’en Hall for 24 years. Therefore, Shou’en Hall was used as the Communications office of Nanshe for a long time.
